TIGUAN

We’re a top rated local Volkswagen Tiguan repair services shop in Fremont, CA. In addition, we service the greater East Bay Area, which includes Newark, Union City, Milpitas, and Sunol. The Volkswagen Tiguan is a crossover SUV just below the Touareg in the company’s range.

The first-generation Tiguan was launched in September 2007. The Tiguan was initially available with two engines, a 2.0-liter 138 hp TDI and a 1.4-liter 148 hp TSI gasoline engine. The first-generation Tiguan is based on a platform shared with the four corporate siblings, including the Volkswagen Passat. It shares the same dashboard design as the Golf Plus.

The Tiguan was launched for the 2009 model year powered by a direct-injected and turbocharged 197 hp 2.0-liter gasoline engine. Imported from Germany, Volkswagen of America expected low sales for the first-generation Tiguan due to its high price tag. Sales proved uninspiring, with few sold in the United States between 2008 and 2015.
