TRANSMISSION REPAIR SERVICES
TRANSMISSION REPAIR
We’re a top rated local transmission services shop in Fremont, CA. We also serve the greater East Bay Area, including Newark, Union City, Milpitas and Sunol. Your transmission is one of the major components of your vehicle. Without a properly functioning transmission, you might not be able to drive at all. The transmission is designed to change gears depending on the speed that you are traveling and how quickly you are accelerating.
With an automatic transmission, your car does this behind the scenes. The transmission should be able to adjust gears without causing your RPM level to reach high ranges. It works together with the engine to help with the engine load as well. If you are experiencing transmission issues, our technicians can take a look and help get it resolved.

CLUTCH JOB
The clutch of your vehicle is what engages your transmission when it is needed. The mechanism of the clutch connects the driving shaft, the driven shaft, and the transmission together to function. It also connects the rotating shafts of your vehicle.
In a manual vehicle, you will actually have a third pedal, which is the clutch. In those vehicles, the clutch helps you change gears as you accelerate.
A clutch job might involve repairing or putting in a new clutch, depending on your needs. In most cases, a clutch job replaces the disc of the clutch, as well as the pressure plate, clutch release bearing, and pilot bearing of the clutch system. Manual transmission oil should also be replaced at this time.
FLYWHEEL REPLACEMENT
The flywheel is a disc with a big job. This disc is on the end of a rotating shaft and is tasked with keeping the engine running smoothly when the power flows. Your engine releases power in a pulsing pattern, but the flywheel smooths it out.
If you are experiencing misfiring, there’s a possibility that the flywheel needs to be replaced or repaired. The flywheel might also be a cylinder, or perhaps even a ring, but this is the typical function of the component.
If the flywheel wears down or begins to fail, it will need to be replaced. We can take a look and replace it as needed.
TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAK
Every transmission has fluid in it, regardless of whether it is a standard or automatic vehicle. The fluid is used to lubricate the moving parts, bearings, and metal within the transmission. The fluid is primarily for the gearbox.
The purpose of the transmission fluid is to prevent the grinding of the gears. If the fluid is leaking or low, you could have shifting problems with the transmission. These leaks should be repaired before bigger issues occur.
TRANSMISSION FLUID LINES REPLACEMENT
If the fluid lines for your transmission begin to leak, wear down, or perhaps even become clogged, they become ineffective. If this happens, your transmission will not work effectively. The lines need to be replaced when they are worn in order to ensure smooth operation of the transmission.
REBUILT TRANSMISSION
Sometimes, the only thing left to do for your transmission is to replace it completely or have it rebuilt. This is a detailed process that will take time. In the rebuild process, a transmission is removed entirely from the vehicle. It’s cleaned and worn or damaged parts of the transmission are changed.
Then, the transmission is carefully put back together with the new parts, installed back into your vehicle, and ready to run like new!
