The BMW 4 Series diesel engines are known to have some issues. The most common one is the diesel particulate filter (DPF) failure. If you notice your BMW 4 Series performing poorly, check if there is any smoke coming out of the exhaust and see if it smells like diesel. If there is, then it could be a problem with your DPF filter. You can bring it to our auto repair shop to get it fixed or replaced.

The automatic transmission in the BMW 4 Series has been reported to have problems with excessive noise or vibration when shifting gears. This may be due to worn parts inside the transmission or an incorrectly adjusted torque converter lockup clutch solenoid valve (TCLS). It is important for you to bring your car to an expert mechanic if you notice any unusual noise or vibration when switching gears in your car.

The crankshaft position sensor (CKP) is responsible for sending signals to the ECU (engine control unit) so it can operate properly and efficiently. If this sensor fails, it could cause serious damage to your vehicle’s engine electronics and lead to costly repairs or engine replacement costs. If you notice problems with your CKP, contact us immediately!

Another common problem faced by many owners of the BMW 4 Series is their adjustable rear suspension becomes stiffer over time and doesn’t adjust as easily as before. In such cases, you might need to replace the actuator motor in order to make things work properly again. Many owners have reported this issue after about 100k miles on their cars, so check if your vehicle falls under this category too.

You may also experience a thumping noise when driving over bumps or uneven surfaces. This can be caused by worn suspension parts or loose bushings. You will need to bring your car for servicing if this happens so we can inspect your vehicle and make any necessary repairs.
